Saying Goodbye

Time to say goodbye.... I think saying goodbye is almost always harder on the family than the missionary.  At least that's been the case in our family.  Elder Anderson was excited to get started on his new adventure and new life as a missionary.

He was set apart by President Knudsen on Tuesday, August 2nd at 1200 pm.



Since his flight wasn't scheduled to leave until 11:59 pm we had a lot of time to spend together that evening.  We went to dinner and Temple Square for the evening before heading to the airport.

Saying goodbye doesn't get any easier even when you've done it before.  Lot of tears shed tonight.  Especially for one little girl who's going to miss her brother so much she has been his constant shadow for months.  Even thought we will miss him there's no place we'd rather have him be right now.  We know he has made the right decision to serve the Lord and we are grateful for his willingness to serve.
